Carrier in New Zealand
AHI Carrier (NZ) Limited, a Carrier joint venture company, is New Zealand's leader in modern air conditioning technology. We are pleased and proud to have maintained this position for the past 45 years. Carrier has earned the trust of engineers, consultants, business owners and consumers who choose Carrier products for their convenience, value and reliability. Carrier is ready to serve you through our professional Carrier Dealer Network centres located throughout the country.
In 1965 Fletcher Mechanical Product Sales Division acquired the agency for Carrier Air Conditioning, the world's largest air conditioning company and sold Carrier's large commercial products into New Zealand. In 1980 Fletcher Mechanical Ltd acquired Fisher & Paykel Engineering Ltd and Zonepak (Manufacturing and Sales of Carrier products), Airite (Service of Carrier and other equipment) and Mecon Ltd (HVAC contracting) were formed. In 1985 because of the rapid growth and success of Zonepak, Carrier Corporation decided to buy back the agency and purchased both Zonepak and Airite under the name Carrier Air Conditioning (NZ) Ltd. To further broaden the range of distribution and service opportunities, Carrier moved the operation in 2009 into the highly successful AHI-Carrier joint venture company and renamed the company AHI Carrier (NZ) Ltd. To this day AHI-Carrier remains at the forefront of air conditioning and heapump technology in New Zealand.
